Experienced Tractor Driver/General Operative

You will be:

Skilled in installation of sports turf drainage, topsoil management including renovation and maintenance.  You will already have experience in the industry and understand the specialised nature of the work we do.  You will be required to work as part of a team or occasionally on your own, depending on the project requirements. 

Currently working in the sports turf construction, renovation or maintenance industry
Willing to learn to work with a variety of plant & sports turf machinery, but not limited to
Tractors with an assortment of cultivating equipment such as laser box scrapers, power harrows, stone buriers, seeders and fertiliser spreaders etc
An outline understanding of soil agronomy
A CSCS card or relevant industry recognised qualification
A mature and safety conscious attitude to working on site
Hold a full driving licence

Part-time Business Development Co-ordinator - 28/12/18

We have an exciting opportunity in the New Year for a part-time business development co-ordinator to join our small team at Technical Turf Ltd based in our office at Pera Business Park, Nottingham Road, Melton Mowbray.

Job role: To identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, new customers, products and services

Duties include:
Support the team with the day to day activities in the delivery of business development plans
Advising on promotion of business and marketing activity
Contacts new and existing clients to discuss potential services, deliver sales pitches, secure contracts etc
Compiles, analyses marketing data, reporting on regular basis
Develop ideas and promote services and products
Assist with procurement, orders and stock
Understand the needs of customers and respond effectively with plan of how to meet these
Think strategically – Seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
Work strategically – Carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
Have a good understanding of the business, products and services and be able to advise others
Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world and horticulture industry

You will need to possess excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills, be self motivated and driven to complete tasks and deadlines using excellent time management and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work predominantly on your own initiative with a professional, positive attitude, but also as part of a small team.

The successful post holder will be enthusiastic, hard-working, and reliable and recognise the importance of high standards in customer service and teamwork, and demonstrate professionalism and confidence in dealing with clients

A relevant qualification in business development is desirable, experience in the field of business and horticulture is essential
Part time hours negotiable and basic salary dependent on qualifications and experience, with bonus given to reflect performance

Horticultural: 1 year (Essential)
Business Development: 1 year (Preferred)
Full Driving License (Essential)
